Women’s World Day of Prayer takes place in St Pius X Church, Moville next Friday, 7th March at 8pm. The theme of service is ‘streams in the desert’ and is prepared by the christian women of Egypt. Refreshments afterwards.
Enrolment forms are now available from the school for all children starting Scoil Naomh Fionan, Whitecastle in September 2014. Completed forms should be returned to the school before 28th February 2014.
Bocan Drama Club are presenting ‘The Mating Season’ a comedy play by Sam Cree in St Eugene’s Hall, Moville on Wednesday, 5th March 2014. Doors open at 7.30pm, admission 6 euro. Proceeds in aid of Methodist Churches. Everyone welcome.
Redcastle Football Club first team had no game on Sunday, the reserves game was off due to an unplayable pitch. This year’s registration day is on Saturday, 8th March from 10.30am to 12.30pm, cost is 10 euro per child, which goes directly to the youth league to payfor registration and 5 euro per child for u10s. Football continues on Monday night for 5th /6th class from 7pm to 9 on the all weather pitch at community centre, Players should wrap up well and wear tracksuit bottoms, gloves and hat, indoor football on Tuesday evenings for senior and junior infants from 530 to 645. Football for 1st,2nd,3rd,and 4th classes is on Friday nights 5.30pm-6.30pm and 6.45pm-7.50pm. In the first week of the new Drung parish draw first prize of €200 went to the McGonagle family promoter Phonsie Logue, second prize of €100 went to Christopher Doherty Promotor Charlie Mc Cauley and third prize of €50 went to Eunan O’Kane, promotor Katie Faulkner.
There was no jackpot winner in the QPCC/RCD Lotto last Friday. Winning numbers were 2, 7, 9 and 20. The four €15 winners were Jason McGonagle, Clar, Redcastle; Ella Anderon, Drung; George Doherty, Drung; Vena Faulkner, c/o Diver’s. Next week’s jackpot will be €5,525.
