Bollywood dancers, a golden eagle, a vintage car display and a range of international cuisine are among the highlights of this year’s Waterside Community Links Festival.
Organiser Louise Moore says this year’s festival - which gets underway at midday on July 23 at Clooney Park West- promises to be “an amazing day.”
The festival is open to everyone and will promote the projects key message of breaking down the boundaries and segregation by bringing the communities and individuals together for a fun day that the whole family will enjoy.
“The Festival is about making a mark on the Waterside area,” Louise says.
“Last year it was fantastic to see so many people coming together and having a great day full of laughter and fun. This year we have made the festival bigger with more events and games.”
Among those attending the festival are Roe valley Archery club, Derry City council sports coaches, Magwere from Beyond Skin, Harmonicity Interactive Band, Mandarin Children’s Choir, Ronan Kearney, Irish and Bollywood dancers.
Food from around 20 different countries will also be served.
There will also be face painters, balloon modelling, shooting tent, bouncy boxing and a fly wall,
