Did you once attend the Wee Nuns’ School based in the grounds of the Long Tower Church?
Would you like to return to see your old school?
The Wee Nuns’ School building has now been restored and all past pupils and teachers are invited to come and view the restored school building from 11am until 4pm this Saturday, March 29th.
The building will become Aras Cholmcille-The St. Columba Centre when it opens in June.
It will focus on the shared history, legacy and heritage of Colmcille.
The exhibition about Colmcille/Columba will be installed during April and May. Information about the centre can be found on the Aras Cholmcille website www.stcolumba-heritagecentre.com where some past pupils have already been sharing their memories of their time at school.
The organising committee are asking as many people as possible to come along on Saturday to hear and share your school memories from days gone by.
