Local people are being asked to come out tomorrow to have a bit of craic and rock the boat to raise funds for the Foyle Hospice.

The event takes place at Guildhall Square and organisers need 1,702 people to come along and take part so they can break the world record.

Numbers registering have been steadily rising all week.

But there is still time if you want to take part.

You can register today at the Foyle Hospice fundraising centre on Culmore Road or call into the charity shop at Waterloo Place.

All those taking part are asked to assemble on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. when there will be a warm up.

The actual rock the boat event will take place at 2p.m.

It is easy to take part. It costs just £5 for adults and £1 for children and as well as breaking a world record much needed funds will be collected for the Foyle Hospice.

Come along on the day and have a bit of craic. And best of all you could end the day a world record breaker.
