Health, Fitness & Nutrition Course: Are you male, aged 17 – 24 currently unemployed and interested in health, fitness and cooking? Why not consider a free course covering these areas? This project runs 2 days a week, Monday and Thursday from 9.30 to 4.30pm in St. Johnston & Carrigans FRC. Quality of Life Programme starts this month in St. Johnston & Carrigans FRC, running over 6 weekly sessions, of two and a half hours each. It is for anyone in County Donegal who has a long term chronic condition, e.g. Diabetes, lung disease, neurological problems, Cohn’s disease, cardiovascular disease, or depression. Coffee Morning & Cake Sale: A fundraising coffee morning and cake sale will take place on Friday 26th October 2012, St Johnston & Carrigans Family Resource Centre from 10am to 1pm. All welcome so please come along and support your local community.
St. Johnston & Carrigans Family Resource Centre is intending to hold a fund-raising bazaar in November 2012. In the meantime, they would be grateful if you would collect any items that could be used as prizes or for sale on the day. A collection and/or drop-off day will be announced nearer the time. Pantomime Trip: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Millennium Forum on Saturday 8th December 2012. A coach will leave St Johnston & Carrigans Family Resource Centre at 1.30pm for the 2.30pm show. Please donate your old, broken or unwanted Mobile Phones. Proceeds from this will go towards a young child with Autism in the local area.
Charity Clothes Bank: The St. Johnston & Carrigans Family Resource Centre has a Clothes Bank at the rear of the building. We encourage local people to use the bank, which allows the centre to raise funds throughout the year. Swap and drop your old books and magazines: There is a table of free books near the reception area in St Johnston and Carrigans Family Resource Centre. Please feel free to take a book and leave your old ones there.
Stamps: If you have any used stamps, please remove them out by cutting the envelope and leaving some of the envelope around them. Bring them down to Maureen McLaughlin at the St. Johnston Post Office. These stamps will be used to fund charitable projects. Thank you.
