Normal services are expected to return to normal across all Derry City Council areas on Thursday.

The services are to include refuse collection, street cleansing, cemeteries and recycling centres.

While strong winds and heavy rain are forecast for Thursday this is not expected to impact on key council services.

Residents whose bins were due for collection on Wednesday should bring their bins back in to their property and then set them out for collection before 7.30am on Saturday January 17 - customers with any queries about bin services should contact 02871 374 107.

Due to the strong winds forecast for Thursday, residents should take precaution when setting bins out for collection.

Regular users of the Bishop’s Field 3G pitch are reminded that it will remain closed for the rest of Wednesday due to the adverse weather conditions.
