Country Park ‘go walkies’ charity event

The Roe Valley Branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind (NI) are holding their annual sponsored ‘go walkies’ event at 2pm on Sunday 11th September 2011 in the beautiful Roe Valley Country Park, Dogleap Road, Limavady.

There will be two walks to choose from - ‘Family Fun’ or a ‘Little Ramble’.

This is a sponsored walk with a difference - it’s the dogs that are sponsored. There is no registration fee or minimum fundraising target. All fundraising will go towards helping transform the lives of blind and partially sighted people in Northern Ireland, with the provision of Guide Dogs and other mobility services. The Guide Dog service receives no government funding so every penny raised will help the organisation to continue vital work.

On completion of the walk, your pet will be awarded a Certificate and florescent ‘go walkies for Guide Dogs’ dog tag.

There are a number of ways to register in advance:

Or, turn up on the day.

Registration will be from 1.30pm to begin your walk at 2pm.
