County Derry man accused of voyeurism

A County Derry man has appeared in court accused of voyeurism and sexual assault.

Before Limavady Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday was Alvin Neeson, whose address was supplied on court papers as York Avenue in Portstewart.

The 39 year-old is accused of observing a female doing a private act knowing that the other person did not consent to being observed for his sexual gratification.

Neeson is also charged with intentionally touching a female; the circumstances being that the touching was sexual, that she did not consent to the touching.

The alleged offences are said to have been committed between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2013.

Neeson was released on his own bail of £500.

District Judge Liam McNally noted Neeson would be entering a plea of ‘not guilty’.

The case has been scheduled for Limavady Magistrate’s Court on September 7.
