Courageous Niall wins Derry Journal readers’ bravery award

The family of a brave child whose fight against cancer inspired others was given a standing ovation at the Derry Journal People of the Year awards.

Niall Craig Kealey (whose nomination video can be watched here) was one of many unsung heroes whose achievements and couarge were recognised and celebrated during a lavish ceremony to mark the first Derry Journal Derry People Of the Year Awards. Sadly, Niall passed away earlier this year and his family collected the trophy to a standing ovation.
