Drug accused released on bail

A 24-year-old man has appeared in court accused of drugs offences.

Aaron Patrick McCusker, with an address in Warmdene Close, Brighton, is charged with possessing fentanyl, cannabis and diazepam with intent to supply.

He is also charged with simple possession of class A, B and C drugs.

McCusker is further charged with taking drugs into Magilligan prison and attempting to take drugs into the prison.

The offences were allegedly committed between February 25 and 26, last year.

McCusker was arrested by police at Belfast International Airport earlier this week.

An investigating officer told Derry Magistrates Court there was no objection to bail.

The 24-year-old was released on his own bail of £1,000, with a cash surety of £1,000, to reside in Brighton.

He must sign bail three times a week at his local police station and is banned from possessing any non-prescribed drug.

He will appear in court again on June 24.
