A 35 year old Derry woman has been fined £125 at the city’s Magistrate’s Court for failing to produce her driving licence to police.
The court had heard how Tara McColgan of Slievemore Park had been involved in a damage only road traffic collision on January 24 of this year. She did not have her licence with her at the of the accident and was informed by police that she should produce it to Waterside Police Station within seven days but failed to do so.
The court heard that McColgan did not respond to repeated requests to produce the documents. Due to this District Judge Barney McElholm said he was fining her in excess of the minimum tariff.
