A former Derry City Council employee who admitted indecently assaultig a teenage boy has been jailed for 18 months.
Brendan McGowan, of Brewsters Close, pleaded guilty to a total of nine sex offences committed between 1989 and 1993.
They include indecent assault, gross indecency and incitement to commit gross indecency.
The victim was aged between 12 and 16 at the time.
McGowan, 69, was also ordered to spend three years on probation following his release from prison and must sign the sex offenders register for ten years.
