Pensioner jailed for disorderly

A 66-year-old man who told police he would shoot him in the face has been jailed for two months.

James Francis Harkin, of Damien House, Foyle Road, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour on July 11.

Derry Magistrate’s Court heard police were called to Foyle Haven because the pensioner was causing a disturbance.

Officers removed him and he told them ‘I will shoot you in the face’.

Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said his client was so drunk he can’t remember the incident.
