Holmes, of Templetown Park, Maydown, pleaded guilty to assaulting and resisting police on April 10.

Hide AdThe court heard that police were called to Foyle Street because a drunk male was acting ‘erratically’ and trying to get into parked cars.
Police offered to give him a lift home for his own safety.
During the journey the 43-year-old’s ‘demeanour changed’ and he began to sing sectarian songs loudly.
The officers asked him to moderate his behaviour and he told them to ‘f*** off’.
He also pushed an officer on the chest.
Holmes told them to ‘f*** away off you f****** pansy’ as he was being arrested.
