Craft Village windows smashed

A number of windows in the Craft Village were smashed over the weekend.

Police in Derry are treating the incident as criminal damage.

One of the buildings damaged in the attack was the City Centre Initiative Building.

A police spokesperson said the PSNI had been alerted to the incident by a member of the public and urged anyone with information to come forward.

“Police can confirm that a member of the public reported a number of windows had been smashed in various buildings in the Craft Village.

“This is being treated as criminal damage and enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone with information is asked to call police in Strand Road on 0845 600 8000 or if someone would like to pass information without giving their details they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
