There will be a concert in Craighadoes Church, Church of Ireland this Sunday 10 May at 7pm. All are welcome. Leslie Matthews, Austin Quinn and other artists will perform. Funds raised will be for the church.

St Johnston and Carrigans Family Resource Centre staff and volunteers were praised for their commitment to making the centre an outstanding community success at the Centre’s recent AGM. Chairperson of the Centre’s Voluntary Management Committee Geraldine McNamee said, “While the impact of cuts in funding has dealt a crucial blow to the Centre, we are able to keep things running due to the good administration and diligence of our staff. All volunteers have to be congratulated for their commitment to the Centre. Having said that, the Centre is always open to new committee members and volunteers”.
There will be a Sensory and Messy Play workshop coming up on Wednesday May 13 run from 10 to 11.30 am at the Resource Centre.

All applicants must have a FETAC Level 5 childcare qualification or equivalent and a minimum of two years experience working in a childcare setting. Umbra Clothing Collections will collect bags of clothing at St Johnston Main Street next Friday 15 May from 10.30am to 3.30 pm. If you require bags to be picked up from your house please ring or text this number with your details 086 382 1979. The donations of clothing will help fund the drive to fight cancer. Used clothing that is clean and dry, household textiles, towels, bed linen, paired footwear will be accepted. Please give generously.

A wonderful time was had by all at a tea dance which was hosted by the Resource Centre recently. The dance was organised by Tracey O Donovan a student in the Health and Social Care Programme at LYIT who was doing a work placement at the centre. Tracey invited members of the centre’s Lunch Club as well as members of clubs based in Lifford, Ramelton and Raphoe. A big thank you to Tracey from all the community members and staff at the Centre.
