The funerals of the man and woman who tragically lost their lives in a collision at Newtowncunningham on Friday will take place in Cavan and Galliagh on Tuesday.

Orla O’Reilly, who is originally from Cavan but lived in Muff and Kevin McClintock from Galliagh lost their lives when the two vehicles in which they were travelling collided on the N13 at Moyle near Newtowncunningham at around 2.30pm.

Ms O’Reilly, who was in her 30s and worked with the Donegal Youth Service, will be laid to rest in her native Cavan following Requiem Mass at St Mary’s Church, Ballynarry at 12noon. She had been due to marry her fiance Jimmy, who she lived with in Muff, next year. Numerous tributes have been paid to Ms O’Reilly, with Donegal Youth Service stating they were “devastated” at her sudden and untimely death.

They added how she was an inspiration to all and had helped and inspired so many young people.

The funeral of Mr McClintock, a father-of-three and also in his 30s, will be from his parent’s home at 11, Dundrean Park at 10am for 10.30am Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Galliagh. He will be laid to rest in the City Cemetery..
