The Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre/ Ionad Ealaíon agus Cultúir Ghleann na Ró, Limavady, has a packed schedule of creative learning events in store for everyone in their new May-August programme.
Children can enjoy ballet for First and Juniors from Wednesday, 9 May to Wednesday, 20 June. The popular Dramabugs, providing movement and drama for early years, starts again from Tuesday, 22 May.
Another course, Parent and Child Photography, runs from Saturday, 2 to Saturday, 23 June. There are workshops in clay modelling, glass painting and pinhole photography. The Centre is also running two creative Summer Schemes for children over two weeks.
The Artspark Schemes run from Monday, 23 to Saturday, 28 July or Monday, 30 July to Saturday, 4 August and classes for both 5-7 year olds and 8-11 years simultaneously. Plenty of activities to keep the young ones engaged and busy over the summer months!
Adults can learn Acrylic painting from Thursday, 31 May to Thursday, 5 July or Traditional black and white photography skills in a series of two masterclasses with Belfast Exposed on Saturday 16 and Saturday 23 June. You can also try your hand at weaving willow on Wednesday, 23 June or basket-making with Welig Crafts on Friday, 24 August.
“These are just a summary of the wonderful activities the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre has in store. A series of creative activities will also be delivered at various community locations through the outreach programme, and don’t forget the host of lectures, talks and demonstrations the centre also provides in local history, crafts and more,” said a spokesperson.
