A 24-year-old man accused of possessing an offensive weapon has been banned from Westway as part of his bail conditions.
Aaron Harkin, of The Branch, is charged with assaulting a woman and making a threat to kill a man on April 1.
He is further charged with possessing a snooker cue as an offensive weapon and disorderly behaviour on the same date.
An investigating officer told Derry Magistrates Court he believed he could connect Harkin to the charges.
Defence solicitor Paddy McDaid told the court his client denies the charges against him.
Harkin was released on bail and will next appear in court for a contest date to be fixed.
District Judge Barney McElholm banned the 24-year-old from having any contact with the alleged injured party’s.
He was also banned from entering the Westway area of the city where the alleged incident took place.
Harkin will appear in court again on May 10.
