An arson attack on a tractor in the grounds of the Carmelite Retreat Centre at Termonbacca on Tuesday caused extensive damage to the vehicle.
The PSNI said the arson attack took place between 7pm and 7.50pm on Tuesday.
Creggan Sinn Féin Councillor Kevin Campbell condemned the incident. “Sadly we these incidents happening from time to time with machinery getting burned causing thousands of pounds worth of damage and interrupting the work that the machinery is being used for.
“I would urge anyone who seen anything in regards to this incident or sees someone messing about with machinery or vehicles parked up for the night to contact the police,” he said.
