A woman accused of attempting to murder her boyfriend breached her bail because the alleged injured party went to her home.
Catriona Josephine Johnston, of Dunvale Terrace, is charged with attempted murder on February 10.
It is alleged the 27-year-old stabbed her boyfriend in the chest, leaving him with a 10cm deep wound and a suspected punctured lung.
She was released on bail and warned not to have any contact with the alleged injured party.
Johnston was also warned that if the man came to her home, she was not to open the door to him and to contact police.
However, Derry Magistrates Court heard the man went to her home at the weekend and she allowed him in.
District Judge Des Perry released Johnston on the same terms and conditions of bail.
He said it would also be a ‘good idea for police to go and tell the injured party he shouldn’t initiate contact’.
Johnston will appear in court again on March 4.
