A 37-year-old man has appeared in court accused of attempted wounding.

Noel David Quigley, of Shipquay Street, is further charged with assaulting and resisting police and making a threat to kill.

The charges relate to an alleged incident on July 1.

An investigating officer told Derry Magistrate’s Court he believed he could connect the defendant to the charges.

Quigley was released on bail to appear in court again on September 8.

As part of his bail conditions he is banned from consuming alcohol.
