Two brothers have appeared in court accused of causing damage to their mother’s home.

Darren McDonagh, (21), of no fixed abode, and 19-year-old Martin Christopher McDonagh, of Strand Road, are charged with criminal damage on July 12.

Martin McDonagh is further charged with disorderly behaviour and resisting police on the same date.

An investigating officer told Derry Magistrate’s Court she believed she could connect both defendants to the charges.

Both men were released on their own bail of £250 until July 28.

They must reside in Carnhill and are banned from entering Galliagh and from contacting their mother.
