A man who was subject to a paramilitary attack last month has appeared in court accused of drugs offences.

Gerald Patrick Lavy, of Ballymagowan Avenue, is charged with being concerned in the supply of class A, class B and class C drugs between February and March, last year.

A defence barrister applied for the case to be adjourned as his client is ‘very heavily medicated’ after the ‘serious physical assault’.

The 30-year-old was released on continuing bail to appear in court again on April 29.
