Crime: ‘Handled stolen goods’

A Belfast man has appeared in court in Derry accused of handling a stolen lifting frame.

Damien Alexander Madden, whose address was given as Alliance Avenue, Belfast, pleaded guilty to handling the stolen lifting frame, worth £1,000, on July 4.

Sentencing was adjourned for a probation pre-sentence report to be compiled.

Madden was released on bail and ordered to sign his bail three times a week at his local police station.

The 32-year-old will appear in court again on October 3.
