A Derry man has been stabbed to death in London.
Frederick Moore died from a wound to the chest following an attack in the Bexleyheath area of London last week.
Police say the 36-year-old was originally from Derry but had been living in London.
Andre Riberio, a Portuguese national of no fixed abode, was remanded in custody at Greenwich Magistrates Court this week after being charged with last Thursday’s murder.
Police were called at approximately 7.25pm to reports of a fight in Bynon Avenue last Thursday, December 8.
Mr Moore, from Belvedere, was pronounced dead at the scene and a most mortem at the Princess Royal Hospital in Bromley last Friday gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
A further six men were also arrested on suspicion of murder.
Four aged 22, 20, 19 and 21 have been bailed pending further enquiries until early January.
Two aged 61 and 42 have been released with no further action.
Another four people were arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm.
Of these, three men aged 36, 28 and 36 have been bailed until late January. And a 30-year-old woman was released with no further action.
