A Derry pensioner has been acquitted of indecently assaulting two young boys more than 50 years ago.

Brendan Noel O’Donnell (77), of Ardglen Park, denied two charges of indecently assaulting two boys under the ages of 14 on between September 7, 1961 and December 31, 1964 and February 25, 1962 and February 1964.

The jury of six men and six women were directed by Derry Crown Court Judge Alistair Devlin to find the pensioner not guilty of the charges.
