A 24-year-old man is to stand trial at Derry Crown Court accused of driving whilst disqualified.

Daniel James Deery, of Glenabbey Road, is further charged with dangerous driving and causing damage to a police car.

The charges relate to an alleged incident between Craigavon Bridge and Skeoge Road on June 20, last year.

Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley accepted there is a case for his client to answer.

Deery was remanded in custody to appear in court again on May 11.
