Ill treated care home patient

A care home worker has pleaded guilty to ill treating a patient.

Susanna Simber, whose address was given on court papers as Ballykelly Road, Limavady, pleaded guilty to one charge of ill treatment of a mental patient on May 30, last year.

A further charge of common assault was withdrawn by a representative of the Public Prosecution Service.

Sentencing was adjourned for a probation pre-sentence report to be compiled.

The 59-year-old will appear in court again on October 1.
