Derry Magistrate’s Court was told yesterday that the home of a 68 years old man charged with indecently exposing himself in a public park last month was damaged in a pipe bomb explosion last week.
Frank Callaghan appeared in court on July 4 charged with committing the indecent exposure offence in Brooke Park the previous day.
He was released on bail but, after his Glenbank Road home was bombed last week, he was moved to emergency DHSS accommodation.
On July 21, the defendant is alleged to have returned to Derry against his bail conditions and gone to a bookmakers office in Chamberlain Street where he’s alleged to have committed another act of indecent exposure. He was then arrested and his bail revoked.
The defendant was remanded in continuing custody for a video link hearing on August 22.
