A Letterkenny man has appeared in court charged with drink driving in Derry.
Jason Moore, of Letterleague, Letterkenny, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
The 21-year-old also admitted driving without due care and attention and failing to report an accident.
The charges relate to an incident in the Queen’s Quay area on September 20.
Derry Magistrate’s Court heard Moore was more than two times over the legal drink drive limit. A breath test gave the reading of 75mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
Sentencing in the case was adjourned.
Moore was released on bail to reside at an address in Aberfoyle Terrace and will appear in court again on October 8.
District Judge Peter King suspended the 21-year-old’s driving licence.
