A 20-year-old man has admitted the burglary of a church in Derry’s Carnhill.
Bernard Cooke, of Lettershandoney Ave., pleaded guilty to breaking into St Brigid’s Church and stealing £200 on November 29 last year. He also admitted breaking into two houses in Hampstead Park on December 19 and the burglary of a house in Greenhaw.
Cooke pleaded guilty to a further charge of burglary on November 12 last year at the Parochial House of St Mary’s Church, Ardmore in which a bottle of wine was stolen. He was remanded in custody awaiting sentencing on September 19.
