Man denies throwing eggs at Martin McGuinness

A Derry man has appeared in Derry Court to face two charges of disorderly behaviour relating to an incident in September were eggs were thrown at Deputy First Minister Martin McGuiness while he conducted a TV interview at Nailor’s Row.

Aodhan Irwin, 20, of Acacia Avenue denies both charges, the second of which relates to an incident were eggs were thrown at Mr McGuinness’ home.

The two offences of disorderly behaviour are alleged to have happened on 10 September.

Irwin will appear in court again in January.
