A man has been left fighting for his life after an incident in Bracken Park on Friday evening.
The man is being treated for severe injuries in the intensive care unit at Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
As yet it is unclear how he came to be injured.
The family have also appealed for information on social network site Facebook. His son, Marty McGranaghan, confirmed that his father, who is well known and respected in the area, is on a life support machine.
Marty said: “Someone out there knows what happened in the house and saying nothing is just as bad please someone tell us something.”
Police confirmed they: “are in close contact with the family.”
