An Eglinton man has pleaded guilty to stealing over £10,000 from his employers.

Jason Craig, of Craigbrack Road in the village, admitted theft by employee and fraud by abuse of position.

The 42-year-old stole £10,402.79 from DFS Furniture Company Ltd between June 2013 and June 2014.

Sentencing was adjourned for a probation pre-sentence report to be compiled.

Craig was released on continuing bail to appear at the city’s crown court again on June 1.
