A 48-year-old man arrested in Limavady yesterday as part of an investigation into the murder of Jim McConnell in Derry in 2009 has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Mr McConnell, who was 38, was shot by two masked men at his home in Woodland Avenue in Derry on 11 February 2009.
Yesterday afternoon’s arrest follows two previous arrests in the Roe Valley earlier this summer in relation to the murder probe.
On August 21 police arrested a 23-year-old man from the Limavady area. He was also released on police bail.
On July 22 detectives from Serious Crime Branch arrested a 48-year-old man in the Gortnaghey area, outside Dungiven.
