A 23-year-old man is to stand trial at Derry Crown Court accused of sex offences.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the identities of the complainants, faces a totally of sixteen sex offences.

They include indecent assault on a male, indecent assault on a female, sexual assault and attempted sexual assault.

The offences were allegedly committed between January 2004 and February 2009.

There are two complainants in the case and the court heard they are the step brother and step sister of the defendant.

The 23-year-old declined to say anything in answer to the charges or to call any evidence on his own behalf.

He was released on his own bail of £500 to appear at the crown court for arraignment on March 24.
