A 59-year-old man is to stand trial accused of a murder in the city centre last year.
Kieran McLaughlin, of Elaghmore Park, appeared at the local magistrates court for a preliminary enquiry last week.
The 59-year-old is charged with the murder of Barry McCrory on October 10, 2013
He is further charged with possessing firearms with intent to endanger life on October 16.
A defence barrister accepted there is a case for his client to answer.
McLaughlin declined to say anything in answer to the charges or to call any evidence on his own behalf.
McLaughlin was remanded in custody to appear at Belfast Crown Court for arraignment on December 5.
