Man treated for head injuries after assault on Derry’s Walls

A man has been treated in hospital after being assaulted on Derry’s Walls.

Police say the 21-year-old was standing with a group of friends when he was attacked from behind by an unknown male who punched him several times on the side of the head causing him to fall to the ground.

The assault occurred at around 9:30pm on March 23.

A PSNI spokeswoman says the victim sustained injuries to the head and was taken to hospital.
