Vandals who paint bombed a Derry community centre have nothing to offer, a local councillor has said.
Sinn Fein’s Kevin Campbell says the Creggan community have been left angered after the Kildrum community centre was attacked.
“There is a lot of anger in the local community at the attack on this facility at Kildrum Gardens. It’s not the first time this building has been targeted with similar graffiti attacks and attempts to set it on fire.
“The small number of people who carry out these acts of wanton vandalism and criminal damage have nothing to offer the people of Creggan.
“In recent months local community organisations and concerned residents have been working hard to keep the area free of this negative and demoralising blight on our community,” he said.
The former Mayor of Derry said such attacks must stop. He also commended local people who helps clean the centre.
