Pleaded guilty to fraud

A 55 year old Limavady man has pleaded guilty to three charges of fraud by deception at the city’s Crown Court.

Colum Lewis-Canning, a former Ulster Bank Accounts Manager, from Moneyrannel Road was charges with taking in excess of £100,000 from a client’s accounts between 2006 and 2008.

He faced a total of five charges, but at the court hearing on Wednesday, it was agreed to proceed with just three of the charges - with the other two to remain on the books. Lewis-Canning will be sentenced on December 18.
