The incidents all occurred on Thursday night into Friday morning. There were two burglaries at houses near Duncastle Road in Newbuildings.
A further two burglaries occurred in Eglinton village in the area of Dunboyne Park and Brookview Glen. Police received further reports of burglaries in the Glenmore Park area of the Waterside and Aberfoyle Crescent area of the cityside.
Detective Inspector David McQuade said: “Police are exploring possible links between these crimes and are particularly interested in hearing about suspicious vehicles in these areas.”
A plumbing supplies business at Prehen Road was entered shortly after 3am on Thursday, 19th. A till drawer was stolen. Damage was caused to the front doors of the premises.
