Police in Limavady are reviewing a number of arsons which took place in 2007 and are appealing to the community for information.
Police say a significant number of properties were damaged at the time and, whilst a number of individuals were charged, there are still a number of cases which remain unsolved.
Area Commander Chief Inspector Sam Donaldson explains: “We currently have a very positive clearance rate in Limavady and a significant amount of suspects are being charged or reported for offences. I’d like to take this good practice and apply it to a spate of arsons which occurred 5 years ago, as I know these crimes had a significant impact on the local community. I would appeal to anyone who has information on the 2007 arsons, no matter how small or insignificant, to contact detectives in Limavady or speak to your local neighbourhood officer.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Limavady Police on 0845 600 8000.
