Police hunt BMW driver after Derry hit and run

Police in Derry are looking for the driver of a black BMW after a pedestrian was injured in a hit and run.

A PSNI spokeswoman says the hit and run occurred on March 29 on the Crescent Link.

Police are also keen to speak to the driver of another car who stopped to help the injured pedestrian.

“At approximately 1.45pm, a 21 year old female was crossing the road near the roundabout in the Crescent Link Retail Park when she was hit by a Black BMW, Series 3 car. The pedestrian was hit as she left the road and was treated in hospital for injuries,” the spokeswoman says.

“Another motorist who was travelling behind stopped to help the injured girl and Police are keen to speak to this driver.

“The driver of the black BMW is described as female with dark hair and was wearing sunglasses,” she says.
