Police investigate Derry rape

Police in Derry are appealing for information after a woman was allegedly raped in the Strand Road area of the city.

A PSNI spokesman says it is believed that sometime between 1.30am and 1.45am this morning (December 15), a young woman was assaulted by an unknown male in an alley in the area.

“He is described as being approximately 6ft 3” to 6ft 4” tall, of stocky build, with long brown hair and spoke with a Donegal accent,” the spokesman says.
