Police probe ‘teen gang sex attack’

An investigation is underway in Derry after a young female was allegedly sexually assaulted by a gang of teenagers on Monday.

A PSNI spokeswoman says the incident occurred in an area of grass at Irish Street close to Anderson Crescent between 8.30 and 9pm on February 13.

“It was reported that a young female was assaulted by five youths described as being 15-16yrs of age, possibly with southern accents,” the spokeswoman says.
