Police are today appealing for information about a number of burglaries which have taken place in the city.

Sometime between Friday evening and Sunday afternoon past, a wallet was stolen from a house at Elaghmore Park in the Galliagh area.

This morning, residents of a house at Ebrington park discovered that it had been burgled while they were on holiday. A sum of money was stolen from the house.

And on Wednesday last, September 3, a sum of money and three gold rings were stolen from a house at Culmore Point. The house was entered between 9am and 4.30pm.

Detective Inspector David McQuade appealed for information about the incidents, and has also urged householders to take stock of their home security.
