A man whose wife reported him for looking at indecent images of children on the family computer has been ordered to spend three years on probation.
Michael Mullan, of Cooleen Park, Culmore, pleaded guilty to thirteeen charges of making indecent images between August 9, 2005 and May 8, 2008.
A previous court hearing was told that 35 images of children were found on the family computer by police, after Mullan’s wife reported him to social services.
Passing sentence, Derry Crown Court Judge Piers Grant imposed a sexual offences protection order for five years which bans the 49 year-old from owning a computer which can connect to the internet.
He was also banned from working with children under 18 or from having any contact with children without the approval of social services.
