POLICE are appealing for information about a criminal damage incident with sectarian overtones in the Waterside area of Derry.
On Thursday night, a number of youths banged on the front door and windows of a house at Dennett Gardens.
Inspector Declan McGrath, the sector commander, said abusive sectarian remarks had also been shouted at the resident.
“This was the third incident in the area this week and we are asking for responsible people in the community to rally around their neighbours and use their influence to bring this abuse to an end”
Information on the incidents can be given to police on the 101 non-emergency number, or to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
