Detectives from Serious Crime Branch investigating “violent dissident terrorist criminality” have released unconditionally a man arrested in Derry.

Originally Detective Chief Inspector Michael Harvey said the suspect was detained in the Strathfoyle area earlier today and was taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim police station for interview.

But a PSNI statement later said: “A 20 year old man, arrested in Derry this morning, Tuesday 26 May, in connection with violent dissident terrorist criminality, has been released unconditionally.”
